Ideal for do-it-yourself projects and light industrial/commercial applications; mounts on any length 1/2" black pipe with both ends threaded (pipe not furnished); can be used to make any number of different length bar clamps simply by using the fixtures on different lengths of pipe; clamping faces are approximately 1-1/2" square; castings are iron: orange and black baked enamel finish; screw is 1/2" diameter cold-drawn steel, special Acme threads and sliding-pin handle; the multiple-disc-clutch design consist of three hardened plated steel clutch disc and one spring which allows the sliding head to hold securely at any point along the pipe; one coil-spring stop is included and prevents tail-stop from sliding off pipe.
